We’re a community of volunteers, producing effective, low-cost visors, for healthcare workers and hospitals across the North West of England.

We have a team of 20+ people working hard to produce as much as possible, and we’re sharing our designs for other makers around the world to re-use.

For people who want to help us

We’ve been blown away by the generosity of our supporters, who raised over £10,000 in 48 hours to help us kick-start production.

But we need a steady stream of donations to cover our materials costs, and pay our makers a fair, living wage.

Every donation, no matter how small, helps us deliver visors to healthcare workers in need. Donate now.

If you want to do more than just donate to us, but you’re not technical, we’re looking for volunteers in a number of support roles including: finance, comms, PR, and project management.

For makers & manufacturers

We’re based out of DoES Liverpool (a CIC focussed on supporting the local maker community) but for this project we’re pulling together makers from across the North West.

We’re actively looking for people with 3D printing or laser cutting capabilities, to join our community and help us fulfil the orders we’re receiving every day.

A huge challenge for us is sourcing the materials we need to produce our laser cut and 3D printed visors – things like PETG, elastic strips, and Polypropylene sheets.

If you know where we can find these materials at a fair price, or—even better—if you can donate any materials you don’t need, then get in touch with us.

Wherever possible, we’re working in the open, sharing our internal discussions, our visor designs, and our working processes.

If you’re a maker from anywhere else in the world, and you want to make visors like ours, visit our maker springboard for all the materials you’ll need.

For healthcare workers

Our laser-cut polypropylene visors have been ordered by hospitals and GP surgeries across the North West, including Aintree Hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRi), Liverpool Royal, Walton Hospital, and East Lancashire Hospital.

We can also produce 3D printed visors, or put you in touch with other makers and organisations who can produce them.

If you need visors, fill in our order form, and we’ll help you work out what’s best for you.

If you need to know more about our visors before placing an order, you can read our product detail sheet.

We’ve been incredibly lucky to have the input of healthcare professionals in a range of specialties during our design phase, but we’re constantly improving the design.

If you have feedback to help us improve our visors visit our public issue tracker and contribute to the discussion.
